It's official! We got our license to foster! So excited. We have our home study on Monday with our adoptions worker. Hopefully it will go quickly and we will be on the waitlist to be matched with a child by mid-March. Amazing. We were a little scared after the last class on Saturday. I think they really try to make sure you know exactly what you are doing. However, it almost made us reconsider. Luckily, we've been attending a support group at a local church and I was able to talk with foster parents there. I thought one woman put it well when she said, "Don't you think that it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all?" Such a hard question to answer but I think its true of fostering to adopt or maybe for adoption in general. I do believe that there is a child out there for us and we just need to wait now and pray.
